Senior Systems Engineer (Servers/OS) job in Virginia

&bull Technical Leader for all personnel engaged in the delivery of enterprise scale solutions. &bull Leads and participates in complex operating systems, systems software planning and implementation, and production support activities. &bull Plans, designs, and implements various systems by conducting market research, evaluates new technologies and attends business/technical meetings to brief and discuss to ensure clarity, alignment and accountability in planning and executing tasks in a timely manner. &bull Interfaces with Contractor and Government personnel, confers with equipment and software vendors, and directs subordinate personnel to take appropriate courses of action. &bull Provide security operations or coordinates security operations functions in support of cybersecurity accreditation - risk management framework (RMF) continuous monitoring process. &bull Maintains a current understanding of emerging technologies and trends in cloud service and relevant application and system technologies. &bull Also, responsible for writing, editing, and preparing graphical presentations of technical information. &bull This position requires the person(s) to be eligible and adjudicated to TS/SCI clearance level at contract start.

&bull Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in operating computer systems. &bull Must have minimum of three years supervisory. &bull Experience in engineering data center. &bull Broad experience with virtualized environments, and a variety of technologies supporting computing capabilities. &bull Demonstrated ability to provide an outstanding customer service experience in a variety of circumstances across all organizational levels. &bull Experience and Knowledge of some of the following: Windows Server, VMware, and a variety of system level applications. &bull Familiarity and or experience with cloud-based services and environments (E.g., MS Azure and AWS DevOps environment, Kubernetes, clusters, containers. &bull etc.) MS Azure Role-based certifications (e.g., Azure administrator associate, solutions architect expert), VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certifications preferred. &bull Position requires minimum of Security Plus. &bull Position shall meet the requirements of an IAT II per the DoD 8570.01-M.
