Job description

We are seeking an accomplished Project Manager III specializing in Software Development and Integration to lead complex technology projects within enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing software implementation, integration, and deployment initiatives, utilizing advanced project management methodologies and tools. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, adept at coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with organizational goals. The Project Manager III will oversee multiple projects, ensuring adherence to best practices in SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), IT governance, and enterprise software standards.

Project Manager III - Software Duties

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development and integration projects across diverse enterprise platforms.
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, and Project management software to track progress and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables clearly and precisely.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, QA testers, infrastructure specialists, and business analysts to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage risk assessments and mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle to minimize potential disruptions.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed test cases, user acceptance testing plans, and ensure successful software implementation aligned with client needs.
  • Monitor project performance metrics using Agile planning tools like Jira, VersionOne, TFS (Team Foundation Server), and Kanban boards to maintain momentum and transparency.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels regarding project status, issues, risks, and change management processes.
  • Ensure compliance with SDLC standards, IT governance policies, PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge), and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) practices for scaled agile environments.
  • Supervise release management activities including deployment planning, disaster recovery procedures, and post-implementation support to guarantee operational stability.

Requirements

  • Proven project management experience in technology sectors with a focus on enterprise software development and integration projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies including Waterfall and Agile frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, Jira, TFS, VersionOne, and Microsoft Office suite (Word & Excel).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC processes along with experience in requirements gathering, analysis skills, and test-driven development practices.
  • Technical proficiency in cloud computing platforms like AWS; familiarity with IT infrastructure components including databases (SQL & Oracle) is essential.
  • Demonstrated leadership in technical project & program management supervisory roles involving cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement; capable of negotiating priorities effectively while managing expectations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organizational skills and time management discipline.
  • Knowledge of enterprise solutions implementation including user acceptance testing (UAT), release management, disaster recovery planning, and IT governance standards.
