Data Engineer (SC)

We’re supporting a major data transformation programme and are looking to hire multiple Data Engineers and Data Analysts on an initial 6-month contract.

These opportunities are well-suited to contractors with around 2-4 years of commercial experience who are looking to build on their data engineering, BI, reporting, ETL, or analytics expertise within a modern AWS environment.

Whether your strengths lie in developing data pipelines, working with cloud technologies, building reports and dashboards, or improving data quality, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to projects that deliver real business impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting data migration and integration initiatives
• Developing and maintaining ETL processes and data pipelines
• Working with large datasets in a cloud-based environment
• Assisting with data warehouse development and optimisation
• Creating reports, dashboards, and data visualisations
• Troubleshooting data issues and improving data quality
• Collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders
• Supporting the delivery of accurate and actionable business insights

We’re looking for experience with some or all of the following:

• DataStage
• Amazon Redshift
• Amazon QuickSight
• AWS
• Amazon S3
• SQL
• Java
• Relational Databases
• GitHub or GitLab

You don’t need to tick every box. We’re keen to speak with candidates who have a solid foundation in data and are looking to develop their skills further within a large-scale transformation programme.

Nice to Have

• Data quality and governance experience
• XML knowledge
• AWS Data Specialty certification
• Exposure to data migration or data warehousing projects, If you have 2-4 years’ experience in Data Engineering, ETL, BI, Reporting, Analytics, or Data Warehousing and are looking for your next contract role, we’d love to hear from you.
