Job description

Google Cloud’s software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. We’re looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google Cloud’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. You will anticipate our customer needs and be empowered to act like an owner, take action and innovate. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.

On the Google Threat Intelligence team, our mission is to engineer the next generation of automated cyber threat intelligence collection and analysis. By transitioning from static methods to resilient, artificial intelligence-driven architectures, we proactively map the deep, dark, and open web.

In this role, you will orchestrate self-healing systems to continuously discover raw data, applying advanced artificial intelligence to analyze unstructured text. By extracting critical threat entities and mapping their complex relationships, you will transform disparate signals into structured, correlated knowledge graphs. You will automate pipelines fuel core threat databases, ensuring full threat-spectrum visibility and empowering our partners with the hyper-personalized, proactive defense required to outpace global cyber threats.

Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain APIs to facilitate data ingestion and extraction across our threat intelligence infrastructure.
  • Build and improve automated web collection tools and scrapers targeting the dark web, deep web, and messaging platforms to reliably monitor adversary comms.
  • Contribute to data pipelines that ingest noisy, unstructured web content, using applied machine learning/LLMs to parse, normalize, and shape it into structured intelligence.
  • Deploy and maintain reliable services and pipelines within google’s production environment, working closely with distributed databases.
  • Partner with executive engineers, threat analysts, and data scientists to help turn raw collection capabilities into high-fidelity defensive tools.
