Job description

CDIT is seeking an experienced Database Developer to support a secure, mission-critical environment. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing database-driven applications using Oracle PL/SQL, REST APIs, and front-end web technologies. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with Oracle databases, data migration, web application development, and end-to-end application security, with the ability to independently develop and support complex technical solutions., Design, develop, and maintain database solutions using Oracle PL/SQL. Develop efficient queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs. Develop and maintain web applications and front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Plan and execute data migration activities, including data mapping, transformation, and validation. Develop, test, debug, and deploy software components through formal change management processes. Optimize database performance and troubleshoot application and database issues. Implement and maintain security controls across the application and database stack. Support Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and middleware environments such as Tomcat. Perform light Unix administration, including access management, permissions, log analysis, system monitoring, software updates, and shell scripting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement integrated technical solutions. Maintain technical documentation, system designs, processes, and workflows.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications 6+ years of relevant development experience. Experience with Oracle Database 19c or higher. Strong proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL and relational database concepts. Experience designing and integrating REST APIs. Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript experience. Experience designing, developing, and maintaining web applications. Proven experience with data migration projects. Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and middleware such as Tomcat. Experience working with Oracle JSON and JSON data. Experience with database performance tuning and query optimization. Working knowledge of Unix/Linux administration and shell scripting. Experience implementing application and database security controls. Experience with software testing, debugging, change management, and production deployments. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Active Top Secret clearance with Lifestyle Polygraph (LS Poly). Preferred Skills & Qualifications 3-4 years of consulting experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration techniques. Experience with Agile development methodologies. Experience with Perl and Python scripting. Experience leading technical solution design or implementation activities. Experience supporting secure or classified enterprise environments.
