This is an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative Agile environment, partnering with architects, engineers, and operational teams to build and enhance enterprise-grade virtualised infrastructure that supports critical business services and client requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Design and implement VMware-based IaaS solutions aligned to customer requirements, industry best practice, and secure-by-design principles.
  • Configure, integrate, and optimise VMware Cloud Foundation components, ensuring seamless interoperability with VMware Aria Operations.
  • Design and implement air-gapped patching and update capabilities across VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
  • Implement and manage NSX-T software-defined networking and security solutions to deliver secure, scalable virtual infrastructure.
  • Deploy, configure, and administer VMware Cloud Director environments, including organisations, resource pools, virtual data centres, and networking services.
  • Design and implement VMware Cloud Director Availability (VCD-A) solutions to support disaster recovery, business continuity, and workload mobility.
  • Collaborate closely with infrastructure, platform, and operations teams to integrate VMware technologies with wider enterprise systems.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution across VMware infrastructure and Omnissa Horizon VDI environments.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including architectural designs, operational procedures, and support guides.
  • Stay current with emerging VMware technologies, industry trends, and best practices, driving innovation and continuous improvement across the platform.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing VMware virtualisation platforms in enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with VMware Cloud Director (VCD), NSX-T, and VMware automation technologies including vRealize Orchestrator (vRO).
  • Deep understanding of VMware vSphere architecture, virtualisation concepts, and cloud infrastructure technologies.
  • Experience developing automation and orchestration solutions using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
  • Solid knowledge of Software Defined Networking (SDN) principles and practical experience configuring and managing NSX-T.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams and collaborating across multiple technical disciplines., * VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification.
  • VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) certification.
  • Experience delivering secure or regulated infrastructure environments.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery, business continuity, and cloud-native platform technologies.
  • Exposure to large scale enterprise or service provider VMware environments.

If you thrive in collaborative environments and have a passion for delivering secure, innovative infrastructure solutions, we’d love to hear from you. Join our client’s team and make a real impact on critical projects!
