Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Full Software Engineer II (Angular, Java) to join our ever-evolving software engineering team and help shape the future of global commerce.

What you’ll own

  • Responsible for coding, testing and analyzing application software; support Product Operating Model by working closely with product team.
  • Use responsive web design to create applications that automatically conform to multiple screen sizes/devices
  • Work closely with the other Development and QA team members to implement new product requirements and improve product usability.
  • Adhere to Product Development life cycle, coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in development and production environments.
  • Drive production releases monthly during off-hours for seamless impact to consumers
  • Achieve operational excellence by automating processes and writing maintainable, supportable, and testable code.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Software development methodologies and best practices
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in front-end web development languages (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)
  • 5+ years experience in advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks (AngularJS, Bootstrap, etc.)
  • 5+ years of experience in building web services in REST using Java, Spring Boot framework, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, Microservices architecture
  • Strong experience working collaboratively using Agile/Scrum methodology is essential.
  • Solid experience with Git, GitHub and DevOps tools (Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus repository, Maven)
  • Fluent in complex SQL and experienced in DB2, Oracle or SQL server preferred.
  • Experience with modern agile software delivery practices such as scrum, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), TDD, and BDD, DevOps, and automation.
  • Experience working with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Version control tools like IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse for Java and Visual Studio Code for JavaScript.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, collaboration across time zones.

It’s a bonus if you have

  • Experience with data streaming (i.e. Kafka), data messaging and event driven systems
  • Use visual aids such as wireframes, storyboards, and UI flow charts, to plan and present user interface designs.
  • Conduct usability testing to identify and fix issues and gather real-world intelligence from target users.
  • Use coding to develop the aesthetics implemented within a website or product, from the layout menus and drop-down options to colors and fonts.
  • Keep up with the latest trends and best practices of UI/UX design and HCI (human-computer interaction).
  • Collaborate with business and IT decision makers to discuss user interface requirements and brainstorm ideas.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • New skills like AI/ML and new implementation like Redis Cache.

For this full-time position, the good faith estimated annual salary range upon hire is $91,900.00-$138,700.00. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on the role’s responsibilities, level, and geographic location. The actual starting salary will be determined by a candidate’s experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Please note that changes in work location may impact the final offered salary. We encourage you to consult with your recruiter to confirm the budget for your location and to better understand the applicable pay scale.
