Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Technical Services Engineer to join a busy and growing aircraft maintenance organisation based at Stansted Airport.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in aircraft maintenance planning, technical services, or project coordination who enjoys working in a fast-paced MRO environment. You will be responsible for coordinating aircraft maintenance inputs from planning through to return to service, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, you will work closely with customers, engineering teams, logistics, purchasing, stores, and approved third-party suppliers to ensure maintenance events are planned and executed efficiently., * Manage aircraft maintenance and modification projects from initial planning through to completion.

  • Produce detailed maintenance work packages that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate tooling, spares, manpower and third-party services to ensure all resources are available before aircraft downtime.
  • Liaise directly with customers to understand maintenance requirements and provide regular project updates.
  • Coordinate with approved third-party vendors to ensure timely delivery of outsourced services.
  • Work alongside Part-21 Design Organisations to support aircraft modifications and ensure compliance with EASA and applicable foreign aviation authority requirements.
  • Chair pre-input planning meetings with internal departments and customers.
  • Coordinate aircraft acceptance into maintenance and support the return-to-service process.
  • Review aircraft technical documentation, including Technical Logs and Deferral Logs.
  • Support documentation control and ensure maintenance paperwork is completed accurately.
  • Identify and resolve issues that could impact project schedules or critical path activities.
  • Produce final project reports and maintain clear communication throughout each maintenance input.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and customer service.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • Technical qualification or proven experience within aircraft maintenance, technical services, maintenance planning or project management.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within an aviation maintenance or MRO environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of EASA Part-145 regulations.
  • Experience producing and managing aircraft maintenance work packages.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and project coordination skills.
  • Strong customer communication and stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience coordinating suppliers and third-party maintenance providers.
  • Knowledge of aircraft technical documentation and return-to-service processes.
  • Understanding of aircraft import/export procedures for maintenance projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance planning software such as AMOS or similar systems.
