Job description
The primary responsibility of this role is to be the principal expert for the cloud engineering team to provide oversight for day-to-day engineering activities and maintain Toyota’s cloud standards.
What you’ll be doing
- Design, implement, and maintain a modern, automated cloud environment.
- Improve and uphold technical standards for development and operations. This includes coding standards and department best practices.
- Productionize new technologies and bring in new ideas from the industry.
- Be a role model in the areas of DevOps, cloud automation, IaC, cloud operations.
- Contribute to the development of a streamlined DevOps team and practice. This includes recruiting efforts, mentorship, and promoting Agile best practices.
- Professional documentation of design and best practices. ADRs, repo documentation, confluence, etc
- Work independently and cooperatively with colleagues to design and build solutions needed for the organization
Requirements
Toyota Financial Services (TFS) Cloud Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated person to fill a role as a Senior Cloud Engineer., * 6-10+ years of cloud engineering experience
- 3+ years of hands-on DevOps engineering experience
- 2+ years of software development experience
- Software development skills, git, source control, CI/CD, inline-documentation
- Proficient Terraform/CDK skills
- Python, Bash scripting, ansible, helm, make, automation skills
- Strong AWS/Cloud knowledge
- Network, EKS/ECS, WAF, Lambda, API-GW, IAM experience
- Strong technical implementation experience with security standards, infra (DR,HA) standards, reliability engineering
Added Bonus if you have
- CDK - Python/Typescript experience
- AWS Control Tower, Organizations, SCP, Config, experience
- Java, Go, JS, or any FE/BE software experience
- AWS/Cloud certifications
- Harness CICD or Github Actions
