System Administrator

Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) is seeking an experienced System Administrator to provide enterprise-level Windows infrastructure and Microsoft cloud administration support. The selected consultant will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Windows Server environments, and enterprise workstation deployments. The consultant will also provide technical troubleshooting, documentation, automation through PowerShell, and support core infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy in a hybrid environment., The consultant will be responsible for, but not be limited to, the following activities:

• Administer and maintain Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID environments.
• Manage and support Windows Server infrastructure.
• Configure and maintain DNS and DHCP services.
• Implement, manage, and troubleshoot Group Policy.
• Administer Microsoft 365 tenant and cloud services.
• Support and manage Microsoft Azure resources and services.
• Administer Microsoft Intune for endpoint management and device compliance.
• Perform enterprise Windows workstation deployment and lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and system administration.
• Troubleshoot system, network, and user issues across enterprise environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support guides.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient infrastructure operations.

• Proficient (4-6 years) experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Proficient (4-6 years) experience administering Windows Server.
• Proficient (4-6 years) experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Proficient (4-6 years) experience administering Microsoft 365.
• Proficient (4-6 years) experience managing Microsoft Intune.
• Proficient (4-6 years) experience with Enterprise Windows Workstation Deployment.
• Proficient (4-6 years) experience managing Group Policy.
• Proficient (4-6 years) experience with DNS and DHCP administration.
• Proficient (4-6 years) experience using PowerShell for scripting and automation.
• Proficient (4-6 years) experience with technical documentation and troubleshooting., * Strong experience supporting enterprise Windows infrastructure in hybrid environments.
• Experience with Microsoft cloud technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience implementing secure endpoint management and deployment solutions.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within enterprise IT teams.
• Experience supporting government or large enterprise IT environments is preferred.
