- This is not a SaaS Product Manager or software Product Manager role
- This is not a field installer, cabling installer, low-voltage installer, construction project manager, or telecom deployment role
- This is not a high-level strategy-only product role focused primarily on roadmap ownership or new product development, * Serve as the day-to-day product resource for Sales, Sales Support, Operations, and Purchasing on network cable products
- Help scope customer requests and projects by identifying product requirements such as cable type, connector type, length, configuration, compatibility, availability, substitutions, and vendor options
- Support quoting by advising on product selection, pricing, availability, lead times, configurations, and alternatives
- Request vendor quotes, lead times, availability, and product information
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders related to network cable products
- Coordinate small-order and customer-driven sourcing with vendors
- Maintain and update product data, SKUs, pricing files, specifications, and related information in internal systems
- Work heavily in Microsoft Excel, including price lists and product data files
- Conduct product and vendor research to support additions, updates, substitutions, and improvements to a mature product line
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product accuracy across quoting, order processing, purchasing, and fulfillment, * This is an office-based product support, quote support, purchasing/vendor follow-up, and SKU/product data role. - This position is fully onsite in Irvine, CA, with a salary range of $75,000-$85,000 depending on experience. Does this align with what you are looking for?
Requirements
Direct experience with fiber optic, copper/CAT, and network cable products is strongly preferred. However, candidates with related technical hardware product experience may be considered if they have strong critical thinking skills, excellent Excel ability, comfort working with product/SKU data, and the ability to learn technical product details quickly., * Strong working knowledge of fiber optic cabling, copper/CAT cabling, and network cable products strongly preferred
- Ability to scope product requirements for customer quotes and projects
- Experience working with product SKUs, configurations, specifications, pricing data, or vendor-supplied product information
- Experience with purchasing, vendor coordination, quote support, product support, technical sales support, or supply-side execution for physical/technical products
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required, including XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, pivot tables, filtering, and basic data analysis
- Strong critical thinking and ability to learn technical product details quickly
- High attention to detail and comfort with repetitive, execution-focused work
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to Sales and other non-technical audiences
- Reliable, responsive, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Prefered
- Direct experience with fiber optic cable, copper/Ethernet cable, power cords, and related networking cable products
- Experience in networking hardware, telecom hardware, data center infrastructure, technical distribution, AV/connectivity, electrical components, or similar technical hardware environments
- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is a plus
- Background in product support, technical inside sales support, category/product specialist work, buying/purchasing, or vendor coordination
- Comfort utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools for research, product comparison, data cleanup, learning, and productivity

GigaTech Products is a growing hardware company based in Irvine, CA specializing in networking connectivity solutions. We are seeking a Network Cable Product Specialist to support our fiber optic, copper/CAT, power, and related network cable product categories.
This is a hands-on product support, customer scoping, purchasing, and execution-focused role. It is not a traditional high-level Product Manager position. The person in this role will support Sales and Sales Support with product questions, quote accuracy, vendor follow-up, pricing/product data, SKU management, and purchasing support.
