Enterprise Architect

Job Title: Enterprise Architect Duration: 6 months (with potential extension to 12 months) Work Schedule: On-site, 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday) in Houston, * Define and maintain enterprise architecture strategy, including architecture models, integration frameworks, governance standards, and lifecycle management aligned to the customer’s business goals

• Lead business architecture efforts by translating business capabilities, value streams, and strategic drivers into actionable technology roadmaps
• Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical models across business, data, application, and technology domains
• Manage and maintain EA tools and repositories (such as LeanIX, Sparx EA, Mega, Bizzdesign, or similar platforms) to support architecture discovery, governance, and stakeholder visibility
• Establish and enforce architecture governance processes, including standards, policies, and review frameworks to ensure consistency across the enterprise
• Lead architectural reviews and serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and best practices
• Identify opportunities to reduce redundancy, improve integration, and increase efficiency across the technology and business landscape
• Facilitate the Architecture Community of Practice to promote thought leadership, share industry trends, and drive collaboration across teams
• Assess emerging technologies and lead proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate their strategic impact
• Communicate architectural strategy and business drivers clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Manage the architecture portfolio and identify needs for platform upgrades, training, or new technology investments
• Support the customer’s Emergency Operation Plan by ensuring architecture continuity during critical operations

• 8 or more years of enterprise architecture experience in a large, complex organization
• Demonstrated experience in business architecture including capability modeling, value stream mapping, and business process analysis
• Hands-on proficiency with EA tools such as LeanIX, Sparx EA, Mega HOPEX, Bizzdesign, Ardoq, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of EA frameworks including TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent
• Experience working in regulated industries such as energy, utilities, or financial services preferred
• Proven ability to engage and influence senior business and technology stakeholders
• Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex architecture concepts for non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience participating in or conducting ARB activities.
• Familiarity with EA tools such as Ardoq is preferred.
• Strong enterprise architecture skills consistent with those we have discussed previously.
• Experience in the energy or utility sector
• Familiarity with cloud architecture patterns (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with data governance, integration frameworks, or data architecture a plus
