Job description

Amentum is seeking a knowledgeable resource with broad knowledge of the governments IT environment and Relativity experience to join a team of legal professionals in providing support to the Department of Justice (DOJ) in Washington DC.

Successful candidate will:

  • Responsible for coordinating technical aspects of electronic discovery for database
  • Assist with strategic and legal aspects for electronic discovery
  • Consults with litigation teams to effectively develop and apply technical strategies to design database
  • Participates in legal proceedings, i.e. 26(f) conferences, prepares affidavits
  • Oversees the creation of statistical reports
  • Ensures successful completion of work, timeliness of deliverables, and quality control
  • Prepares system/technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with teams to create search strategies
  • Lead technical support for generating outgoing productions, not limited to qc of coding fields
  • Manage work order queue
  • Provide desk side relativity training

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience, substantial, hands-on, successful experience supporting the systems being used:
  • Relativity
  • Relativity One
  • Experience with database management systems for example; MySQL, SQL SERVER and PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Oracle Database.
  • Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have extensive Relativity experience.
  • Extensive data processing experience.
  • Requires broad knowledge of the Government’s IT environments, including office automation networks, and PC and server based databases and applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • 100% in office position

Preferred skills:

  • Undergraduate degree strongly preferred; preferably in the computer science or information management/technology disciplines.
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lead a technical team, and to give it direction, will be very important
  • Ability to analyze attorneys’ needs, and to design and implement a whole system solution responsive to those needs will be very important.
  • Law degree, advanced technical certification, or other pertinent graduate degree strongly preferred.
