Job description

As a CBRE Vice President, Global Enterprise Architecture, you will lead a team of architects, collaborate with senior business and D&T stakeholders, champion modern architectural approaches and principles, and ensure that our technology platforms enable world-class digital products and services. This position requires a strategic thinker with a passion for solving sophisticated problems, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to influence and drive change across a global organization.

The Digital & Technology team at CBRE is a forward thinking and innovative function at the forefront of digital transformation & acceleration programs. VP, Enterprise Architecture is a strategic leadership role responsible for defining and guiding the technology target state for CBRE. The leader will align technology strategy with business objectives, driving digital transformation, fostering innovation, and ensuring a robust, scalable, and secure enterprise architecture. The role demands “hands on” deep expertise in architecture, data, AI/ML, platform and cloud solutions, combined with exceptional leadership and people management skills.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and lead the execution of the enterprise-wide technology vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning with CBRE’s business goals and driving digital transformation.
  • Establish and cultivate an agile architecture community of practice to work across multi-functional teams, promoting a collaborative culture and defining KPIs and metrics to continually measure its success.
  • Serve as the chief architectural advisor to senior leadership; collaborate effectively with business and technology leaders to prioritize architectural improvements, ensure strategic alignment, and define technology investment plans.
  • Supervise the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new technologies and platforms.
  • Drive the evolution of existing systems towards future-state architectures, ensuring the creation, validation and promotion of reusable assets at various stages of the application/data lifecycle.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise architectural standards and governance processes, actively promoting them to ensure consistency, quality, and strategic alignment across all initiatives.
  • Lead application rationalization initiatives to optimize the portfolio, improve efficiency, and reduce duplication.
  • Drive adoption of advanced technologies, particularly AI/ML-based solutions and associated data platforms, finding opportunities for automation and AI-driven enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly preferred.
  • Over 15 years of experience in enterprise architecture or related leadership roles is highly desirable, with at least 5-7 years in enterprise architecture leadership demonstrating significant experience in guiding complex, global organizations.
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale technology transformations and modernizing enterprise platforms in a dynamic environment.
  • Extensive experience in defining and implementing enterprise architecture strategies, modern cloud architectures (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS), data analytics, AI/ML platforms, and enterprise integrations.
  • Strong business acumen with a track record of aligning technology strategy with business goals and influencing diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Prior domain knowledge in Commercial Real Estate (CRE) is highly valued.

  • Exceptional communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating strategic visions and complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, including executive leadership.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and inspire teams, spearhead large-scale digital transformation, and effectively manage complex global programs.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, combined with a proactive approach.
  • Deep knowledge of agile methodologies and a demonstrated ability to rapidly learn, evaluate, and apply emerging technologies to solve critical business problems.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles to manage budgets, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and contribute to financial planning for technology investments.
  • Ability to conduct financial/business analysis, including the preparation of reports and robust business cases for strategic technology initiatives.
  • This position has formal supervisory responsibilities. The Vice President will lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include identifying training needs, supervising performance, coaching, and motivating the team.
