- Strong command of Linux environments and system administration.\n
- Proven experience with various software/hardware architectures and network protocols.\n

- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative, scalable solutions.\n
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary, international environment.\n
- Languages: Fluency in both German and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.\n
- Travel: Willingness to undertake occasional business travel.\n
- Preferred: Practical experience in flight test analysis is advantageous.\n

Your tasks and responsibilities \n
As a Systems & Software Architect for the Flight Test Ground Station (FTGS)\n \n
- you will lead the end-to-end architectural lifecycle for a complex suite of flight test tools, including FTGS-Core, FIDA, and various Add-On tools.\n
- you will be responsible for defining and documenting comprehensive system requirements, balancing operational needs, technical constraints, and stringent regulatory requirements.\n
- your core mission involves developing and iterating robust architectures encompassing hardware, software, and network infrastructure.\n
- Utilizing established architectural patterns and best practices, you will design modular, scalable systems and produce high-quality design specifications, interface definitions, and technical documentation.\n
- You will play a decisive role in evaluating and selecting the technologies and components necessary for successful system implementation, ensuring seamless interoperability and compatibility between various subsystems and external interfaces.\n
- Beyond design, you will drive technical excellence by establishing development best practices, conducting detailed design studies, and overseeing validation and verification (V&V) strategies. You will actively support the system integration process and contribute to the creation of test strategies to validate architecture and performance.\n
- A key aspect of this role is cross-functional leadership within an Integrated Product Team (IPT). You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams-including software, hardware, test, and operations engineers-to resolve complex technical challenges.\n
- By leading "tiger teams" to address critical issues and facilitating continuous improvement through rigorous retrospectives, you will ensure long-term technical consistency.\n
- Furthermore, you will remain at the forefront of the industry by monitoring emerging technologies and trends in flight test and ground station systems, ensuring the FTGS toolchain remains cutting-edge and future-proof.\n
