Job description

We are looking for an experienced Mobile UI/UX Designer to help shape the patient experience for our AI-driven chronic disease management platform used by healthcare organizations across the US. This is a part-time, ongoing engagement ideal for a designer with strong healthcare product experience who enjoys meaningful, focused project work in a fast-moving startup environment., * Evaluate and improve existing mobile app experiences, workflows, navigation patterns, and patient engagement flows

  • Redesign key areas of the application to improve usability, clarity, engagement, and long-term adherence
  • Create high-fidelity mockups, design systems, and interactive prototypes in Figma
  • Design intuitive patient-facing dashboards, longitudinal health data visualizations, and personalized insight experiences
  • Translate complex clinical, behavioral, and health data concepts into simple, consumer-grade mobile experiences
  • Design experiences that support patient motivation, habit formation, adherence, and ongoing engagement
  • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, AI, and operations teams to rapidly iterate on features and workflows
  • Incorporate feedback from patients, clinicians, and internal stakeholders into design improvements
  • Help define and evolve the overall mobile design language, interaction patterns, and UX standards across the platform
  • Ensure designs are feasible to implement while maintaining a high-quality user experience
  • Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and align with healthcare UX best practices
  • Contribute to the design of AI-driven, personalized, and data-informed healthcare experiences

Requirements

Do you have experience in Visual communication design?, * 3+ years of UI/UX design experience with a strong focus on mobile applications

  • Direct experience designing patient-facing healthcare or digital health applications for the US market
  • Demonstrated experience working with a US-based healthcare company or product - please specify the company or product in your application
  • Strong portfolio featuring healthcare app design, patient engagement experiences, dashboards, or health data visualizations
  • Proficiency in Figma, including component systems, prototyping, and developer handoff workflows
  • Experience collaborating closely with software engineering and product teams throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of mobile UX patterns, information architecture, and interaction design best practices
  • Ability to translate complex clinical, behavioral, or health data concepts into intuitive consumer-grade experiences
  • Familiarity with healthcare workflows such as care management, remote monitoring, health tracking, patient engagement, or digital therapeutics
  • Strong visual design skills with attention to typography, spacing, hierarchy, and usability
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment with evolving product priorities and ambiguity
  • Ability to take high-level product goals and independently drive UX improvements and design recommendations

Strongly Preferred

  • Experience designing chronic disease management, remote patient monitoring (RPM), care management, or patient engagement applications
  • Familiarity with wearable devices, health data platforms, or connected health integrations (e.g., Apple Health, Health Connect, CGMs, blood pressure monitors, fitness trackers)
  • Experience designing AI-powered, predictive, personalized, or data-driven healthcare products
  • Understanding of patient engagement and behavior change concepts such as adherence, habit formation, motivation, and personalized coaching
  • Experience collaborating with clinical, operations, or care management teams in a healthcare environment
  • Experience designing patient-facing mobile experiences that simplify complex health information and workflows
