The Pixel Advanced Camera Autofocus team is looking for innovative engineers and researchers to help shape the future of mobile imaging. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle of features that define the Pixel camera experience. Our team manages everything from initial research and algorithm development to prototyping, optimization, and final commercialization. Our ultimate mission is to ensure Pixel Phone cameras deliver exceptionally sharp, clear images while pioneering the next generation of visual experiences.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google’s various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user’s interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world., * Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software.

  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Research?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 2 years of experience programming in C++.
  • Experience with computer vision, imaging, or augmented reality platforms., * Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 2 years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
  • 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms in either an academic or industry setting.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.

Benefits & conditions

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
