Software Engineer

Opening / Selling Statement - We re building a small team to support an end-of-life (EOL) application migration to a newer internal tech stack. This QA role is a test engineer role (SDET-style): a software engineer with a strong testing mindset, able to work independently and partner closely with engineers as requirements and features are finalized. Required Skills - Seniority / autonomy expectations Expected to operate at a senior / highly autonomous level, with ownership of QA approach and day-to-day execution. Strong testing mindset and experience validating complex workflows end-to-end. Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and how QA fits into delivery. Experience as an SDET / test engineer (not only manual QA). Working knowledge of Java and React sufficient to understand the application and test effectively. Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright (both preferred). AI fluency is mandatory: demonstrated experience using AI tools in prior roles to improve engineering/QA outcomes (not just prompt-writing). Strong communication and collaboration skills.
