Job description

We’re proud to have been helping our clients build better financial futures for over 50 years. How have we achieved this? By working together - and supporting each other - all over the world. So, join our Technology team and feel like you’re part of something bigger.

About your team

The pace of change across financial services continues to accelerate, driven by cloud adoption, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, increasing cyber threats, evolving regulatory obligations, and changing customer expectations. The Enterprise Architecture team plays a critical role in ensuring Fidelity’s technology landscape remains secure, resilient, scalable, and fit for the future. Operating across business, technology, data, and security domains, Enterprise Architecture provides strategic direction, governance, and assurance to ensure change initiatives deliver sustainable business outcomes while effectively managing risk.

The Security Architecture function is responsible for defining enterprise security strategy, architecture standards, patterns, and controls that protect Fidelity’s people, clients, information, systems, and services. The function works closely with Cyber Security, Technology Engineering, Infrastructure, Cloud, Data, and Business teams to ensure security and resilience are embedded into every aspect of technology delivery.

About your role

As a Lead Enterprise Security Architect, you will be accountable for defining and governing Fidelity’s enterprise security architecture strategy, ensuring Security by Design, Resilience by Design, and Identity by Design principles are embedded across all technology, business, data, cloud, AI, and transformation initiatives. The role acts as the senior architectural authority for enterprise security, providing strategic leadership, governance, assurance, and challenge across large-scale programmes, investment portfolios, and enterprise platforms. You will ensure architecture decisions align with cyber security strategy, enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice. A key responsibility of the role is establishing and evolving Fidelity’s Identity Architecture strategy, encompassing workforce identity, customer identity, privileged access, machine identity, service identity, and emerging autonomous agent identities. You will define how human users, applications, APIs, AI agents, and machine workloads are authenticated, authorized, governed, monitored, and audited across the enterprise. You will also lead the development of enterprise-wide resilience capabilities, ensuring applications, services, platforms, and business processes are designed to withstand technology failures, operational disruptions, and evolving business demands. This includes influencing architecture decisions relating to operational resilience, recovery objectives, zero trust architectures, cloud resilience, platform engineering, and critical business services.

Requirements

· Proven experience leading enterprise security across architecture teams

· Expertise in enterprise architecture security and resilience by design

· Strong ability to influence at senior levels and drive strategic change

· Up-to-date knowledge of modern data security architecture principles and technologies
