Job description

The Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) is a major Department of Defense enterprise application supporting accountable property and logistics operations across all Defense Services and more than 50 Defense Agencies. ELMS manages over 80 million assets valued at more than $141 billion, serving as the Department’s Accountable Property System of Record. The system provides enterprise capabilities for: . Property accountability . Fleet management . Real property . Retail warehouse operations . Internal use software . Financial reporting

The Jr. Web Developer supports front end and mid tier development activities for ELMS by building, enhancing, and maintaining web based interfaces and client/server applications. This role works directly with internal teams and customers to gather requirements, develop web pages, port legacy functionality into modern browser based environments, and support day to day sustainment work with minimal supervision.

This position is located in Harrisburg, PA.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Develop middle to high end client/server based applications supporting ELMS functionality. . Design, develop, and maintain web pages and assist with porting legacy or client based applications into modern web based interfaces. . Interface with clients and system users to gather and refine requirements. . Perform assigned development and web design tasks with minimal supervision. . Support ongoing updates, enhancements, and testing activities associated with ELMS sustainment

Requirements

Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority. . Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field. . One (1) year of experience in scripting, software development, and web page design and development. . Experience with SharePoint Online (SPO), DreamWeaver, or similar applications. . Strong customer relation skills. . Experience utilizing HTML, XML, PERL, and/or Apache. . Based on the nature of the work, US citizenship and a Secret clearance are required. Desired qualifications/non essential skills required: . Demonstrated ability to support web development within large enterprise environments. . Familiarity with ELMS relevant Microsoft platform components such as IIS, .NET, or SharePoint integration. . Ability to work collaboratively with developers, testers, and analysts within a structured DoD sustainment environment. . Strong communication and documentation skills., * Adv Adm - SysAdm & Scripting
