Job description

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building the platforms that bring our sensors to life. You’ll design and implement web applications that collect, process, and visualise real-time sensor data - ensuring that end-users (from engineers on-site to project managers and city authorities) can make fast, informed decisions. Expect to work across the stack: from APIs and data pipelines through to front-end dashboards and secure cloud integration., * Design and build scalable web applications for real-time sensor data visualisation and control

  • Develop back-end services/APIs for ingesting and processing sensor data streams
  • Implement secure authentication, data handling, and role-based access controls.
  • Work with Docker to manage containerised applications.
  • Build front-end dashboards and interactive visualisations for end users
  • Optimise databases for storing and querying high-volume IoT data
  • Collaborate closely with embedded, electronics, and AI/ML teams to ensure end-to-end system performance
  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and code quality across projects

Additional Opportunities

  • On-site installation and testing (with international travel options)
  • Mentor junior engineers and support continuous improvement in CI/Git workflows
  • Help shape software processes for long-term scalability

Requirements

  • Experience as a Full Stack Developer (ideally in IoT, industrial, or data-heavy applications). Graduates welcome. Experience will determine offered pay.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Front-end development with React and Next.js.
  • Solid understanding of HTML5 / CSS3 (flexbox, grid, responsive design).
  • Back-end development using Node.js, and Express.
  • Familiarity with PM2 and Linux.
  • Experience with Electron for cross-platform desktop applications.
  • API design and implementation (RESTful services).
  • Proficiency in Python for data handling, scripting, or integration.
  • Understanding of web security best practices (OWASP, XSS/CSRF prevention, etc.).
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools.
  • Experience with data visualisation libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, or similar).
  • Familiarity with time-series databases (InfluxDB, TimescaleDB) or cloud data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of IoT protocols (MQTT, WebSockets).
  • Interest or experience in AI/ML integration for sensor fusion and predictive analytics.
  • Experience with GIT for code development.
  • Degree (2.1 or higher) in Electronics, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent
