Job description
As a SC Cleared Security Engineer, you will take technical ownership of the customer’s security infrastructure, managing processes, procedures, documentation, and life cycle management. You will serve as the senior technical point of reference for all security-related projects, changes, and modifications to Firewall rule bases. Additionally, you will act as the senior technical point of escalation and interface with vendor support for incidents related to the security infrastructure. Your role will also involve designing customer networks and supporting both high-level and low-level designs, providing technical support, and overseeing change management for physical and remote changes. You will manage customer inventory, including hardware and software, and utilise your knowledge of technologies such as Zscaler, Checkpoint, Juniper, Bluecoat, F5, Cisco networking solutions, wireless technologies, and Cisco IPT/QoS/802.1x. You will also work with VPN technologies and wide area network technologies, including routing protocols.
Responsibilities
- Technical ownership of the customer’s security infrastructure estate, processes, procedures, documentation, and life cycle management.
- Senior technical point of reference for all security-related projects, changes, or modifications to Firewall rule bases.
- Interface with vendor support for all incidents related to the security infrastructure.
- Design of customer networks, including support for high-level and low-level designs.
- Provide technical support and manage changes for hard (physical) and soft (remote) changes.
- Customer inventory management, including hardware and software.
- Utilise knowledge of Zscaler, Checkpoint, Juniper, Bluecoat, F5, and Cisco networking solutions.
- Understand wireless technologies and Cisco IPT/QoS/802.1x.
- Work with VPN technologies such as IPsec, SSL VPN, DMVPN.
- Utilise wide area network technologies and routing protocols.
Requirements
- Active SC clearance required.
- Expertise in security operations and engineering.
- Proficiency with technologies such as F5, Palo Alto, Zscaler.
- Experience in cybersecurity engineering.
- Understanding of IAM (Identity and Access Management).

- Good stakeholder management skills.
