QA Engineer/Software Applications Tester

OCH Technologies is looking for a talented and experienced QA Engineer/Software Application Tester to ensure the quality and reliability of a critical government web application undergoing modernization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing methodologies, automation, and quality assurance processes, with experience in both legacy and modern software environments., * Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for legacy and new system components.

• Design and implement automated test suites to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing
• Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve software defects.
• Verify data integrity during database migrations and system updates.
• Conduct security and compliance testing to ensure adherence to government standards.
• Document and report test results, including detailed bug reports.
• Participate in code reviews from a quality assurance perspective.
• Assist in defining and improving QA processes and methodologies.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Math, Science, or related field, * At least five (5) + years of professional software testing experience

• Strong experience with manual and automated testing methodologies
• Experience testing web applications and database-driven systems
• Familiarity with Government software development and testing processes

Security Clearance Requirement

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Level security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with testing Oracle PL/SQL based systems
• Knowledge of NoSQL database testing
• Familiarity with microservice testing environments
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks testing
• Automation for web application benchmarking and scripted testing
• Testing systems in a closed-network environment
