Job description

Deploy, install, and configure routers, wireless access points, and iPads at assigned voting centers.
Perform network setup, connectivity testing, and system validation.
Configure and troubleshoot LAN and WLAN equipment.
Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
Transition to “Break-Fix” standby support to quickly respond to network or equipment failures.
Document installation activities, troubleshooting steps, and service updates.
Follow election security procedures and technical deployment standards.
Collaborate with field technicians, project managers, and election personnel to ensure successful site operations.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in networking, telecommunications, or a related technical field.
Hands-on experience with LAN/WLAN configuration and troubleshooting.
Experience installing and configuring routers, switches, wireless devices, and network equipment.
Understanding of networking concepts, interfaces, IP addressing, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and common network protocols.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Reliable transportation is preferred, as travel throughout Los Angeles County may be required., * Experience providing field technical support or network deployments.
Familiarity with Cisco, Cradlepoint, Meraki, Aruba, or similar networking equipment.
Experience supporting large-scale technology rollouts or public sector projects is a plus.
