Job description

The IT Support Role is the first line of support for incoming IT issues. Their job is to receive, respond to, document, correct/refer IT incidents as reported by staff and our supported client locations. This position will resolve computer and peripheral IT problems, and, when applicable, route more complex problems to the appropriate staff.

IT Support Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve windows workstation and hardware issues
  • Provide support for Microsoft 365 environments including users, licensing, and MFA
  • Assist with Active Directory administration including user management and permissions
  • Provide application, portal, and equipment support to staff and client locations
  • Set up and configure new workstations and equipment
  • Troubleshoot networking issues involving DNS, DHCP, wireless, routers, and VPNs
  • Support and maintain Windows Server environments
  • Assist with network infrastructure deployments such as firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless
  • Communicate clearly with clients about issues, timelines, and solutions
  • Research unfamiliar problems and see issues through to resolution
  • Travel to offsite locations to troubleshoot issues and install new equipment

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft applications.
  • Basic knowledge of networking, Active Directory, and server principles.
  • Ability to diagnose computer related problems by utilizing industry best practices, troubleshooting techniques, analytical skills and vendor support.
  • Candidates must enjoy working in a team environment and possess a solid working knowledge of technologies used in a computing laboratory environment.
  • Good problem solving, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new technology skills quickly.
  • Ability to regularly push, pull, lift, move and carry 30 to 50 pounds

Preferred Education/Qualifications:

· High School Diploma (Required)

· Associate’s degree in IT related program

· Specialized training certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) helpful, * Do you have any specialized training certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)?

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Windows: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Help Desk: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Information Technology: 1 year (Required)
