Metron has an immediate opening for a Joint Military and Space Planning Subject Matter Expert (Senior Manager). This role will provide analytic and subject matter expertise across the Joint Planning Process, joint doctrine, space planning and electromagnetic maneuver warfare and assist in interfacing with operational customers. Ideal candidates will have expertise as a Service or Joint level Space Officer/Cadre or Targeteer experience at the Joint or Service theater and operational levels.
Experience with Maritime Operations Centers (MOC) and/or NAVWAR (Naval Information Warfare Systems Command) / PEO (Program Executive Office) organizations is highly desired. Familiarity with system engineering development, design, installation, testing analysis, integration, management and operations of various software tactical decision aids and battle management tools is also highly desired.
Responsibilities include customer relations with INDOPACOM and its Service Components. Knowledge of DoD research and development processes and organizations, DoD systems, DoD acquisition as well as familiarity with equipment deployment and testing are helpful.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Working directly for Division Manager and the senior Metron representative in Hawaii to liaison with sponsors, customers and potential customers.
- Regularly interacting with customer base, up to the SES/Flag/General Officer level.
- Leading, overseeing and coordinating Metron activities in Hawaii to include managing engagements that bring research scientists, software developers and customers together to successfully develop and deliver products to clients.
- Working with Division VP and Division Directors to identify new customers, and to plan, formulate, and write proposals. This will include defining the objective or purpose of the work, estimating costs and specifying the capabilities of the product to be delivered.
Requirements
- BS in Physical Sciences, Computer Sciences, Operations Research, Mathematics, Physics, Intelligence, International Relations, National Security or related field.
- At least ten (10) years’ field experience, operational military or government experience desired.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance; Active TS/SCI clearance required.
- A minimum of seven (7) years’ military planning, targeting and/or electromagnetic maneuver warfare experience
