Senior Director of Software

As the Senior Director of Software, you’ll lead all software engineering, platform development, and software delivery across our product ecosystem. This role provides end-to-end accountability for software platform strategy, engineering execution, delivery effectiveness, architecture alignment, and organizational capability across Windows, mobile, content, and related software systems. • Strategic Leadership: Guide software strategy, engineering execution, and platform development across a diverse product portfolio.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Management, QA, Validation, UX, Clinical, and Executive Leadership to drive meaningful outcomes.
• Innovation & Growth: Lead technical teams, influence organizational direction, and promote continuous improvement across the software organization., * Defines and drives the long-term software platform strategy across the Company’s software ecosystem, including Windows, mobile, content, and supporting services.
• Owns senior-level accountability for software engineering execution, organizational effectiveness, platform alignment, release quality, and delivery health.
• Leads software directors, managers, and associated teams to ensure strong execution, team health, technical quality, and organizational alignment.
• Partners with individuals at the Product Management level to align software engineering execution with product strategy and portfolio priorities.
• Ensure that software roadmaps are executable, technically coherent, and aligned with platform, architectural, and business realities.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience is required.
• 7+ years of experience leading software engineering organizations, engineering managers, or multi-team technical functions is required.
• At least 5 years of experience leading software delivery across multiple platforms, products, or domains is required.
• At least 5 years of experience with SDLC improvement, release management, architecture alignment, and cross-functional product engineering execution is required.
• Experience in regulated, medical device, accessibility, or compliance-driven product environments is preferred.
• Experience partnering closely with Product Management, QA/Validation, UX, Clinical, and executive leadership is preferred., * Strong senior leadership capability with demonstrated success leading multiple software leaders and large technical organizations.
• Deep expertise in software engineering, platform development, SDLC execution, delivery management, and software quality.
• Strong understanding of architecture alignment, platform evolution, release discipline, engineering scalability, and organizational design.
• Ability to align software strategy, engineering execution, product priorities, and business goals into coherent, executable plans.
• Strong systems thinking, technical judgment, organizational problem-solving, and decision-making capability under complexity.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills across executive, technical, product, quality, and operational audiences.
• Ability to balance technical debt, product ambition, team capacity, delivery risk, and long-term platform health.
• Strong organizational and financial management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, budgeting, and resource allocation.
