Job description
The Information Technology Assistant is responsible for assisting with the implementation, operation and maintenance of various technology related activities within all Club sites and providing technical support and training as needed to staff.
KEY ROLES: (Essential Job Responsibilities)
- Help with maintenance of club-wide computers and phone networks.
- Provide support to staff for hardware and software issues.
- Assist with the maintenance of membership related computer hardware and software.
- Support projects related to club website/intranet and technical issues regarding website/intranet updates.
- Aid in the installation and maintenance of club-wide cameras.
- Assist with set up of technology for staff meetings, board meetings and other meetings as needed.
- Other related duties as specified by the Director IT & BI and Senior Management Team.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club professional staff.
External: Maintain contact with outside services to assist in resolving problems and to maintain computer hardware and software in appropriate working order., Join us as an IT Assistant to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to supporting the vital work of youth development through reliable technology solutions. Requirements
- Appropriate education/training required. Two years prior experience working with computers/networks preferred.
- Requires ability to prioritize daily task list.
- Ability to make independent decisions based on good business practices.
- Must have knowledge of and be committed to carrying out BGCD mission and values.
- Must be highly motivated, possess strong organizational skills and be willing to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work clubhouse hours especially as seasons and service needs change.
- Must be or become CPR / FA certified.
- Must consent to and pass a CORI/SORI and background check.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Moderate physical requirements. Majority of work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility, with seasonal work performed outside, exposed to changing weather conditions.
Occasional - Routine deadlines; usually sufficient lead time; variance in work volume seasonal and predictable; priorities can be anticipated; interruptions are common; involves occasional exposure to demands and pressures from persons other than immediate supervisor.
Job frequently and continuously requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, handling objects with hands, talking, hearing and lifting up to 20 lbs. Job occasionally requires reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, crouching, reading and lifting up to 100 pounds with appropriate lifting aids or assistance.
