Job description
Blu Omega is seeking a Full Stack Developer to support a large-scale modernization initiative for the U.S. Small Business Administration. This role operates in a remote environment and is responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying high-value, operationally resilient software products on the AWS cloud platform. The position requires experience supporting mission-critical applications within an agile development environment., * Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack software applications supporting mission-critical business processes.
- Develop modern applications using Python and JavaScript technologies.
- Contribute to the incremental modernization of legacy applications into cloud-based solutions.
- Design and implement scalable backend services, APIs, data models, and user-facing components.
- Develop software within an AWS cloud environment emphasizing reliability and operational resilience.
- Translate functional and non-functional requirements into effective technical solutions. Analyze business scenarios to develop appropriate application and data-model designs.
- Participate in hands-on coding, code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
- Collaborate closely with developers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, business analysts, platform engineers, product owners, and solution architects.
- Engage actively in Agile ceremonies and team-based technical discussions.
- Contribute to engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience; or at least 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong professional experience with Python and JavaScript.
- Full-stack development experience across backend and frontend components.
- Experience with Django or comparable Python frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, Falcon, SQLAlchemy.
- Experience with Vue.js or comparable JavaScript frameworks such as React, Svelte, or Angular 1.6+.
- Experience designing relational data models and translating business scenarios into application/data designs.
- Ability to develop and integrate APIs and backend services.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting, improving production-quality code, and analyzing technical problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work effectively within a highly collaborative, distributed development team., * Experience working in federal government environments.
