For more information, please visit www.bruker.com., As a Java Desktop Developer, you will contribute to the development of desktop applications used to control advanced mass spectrometry instruments. You will work closely with software developers, scientists, and engineers to create reliable, high-quality solutions at the intersection of software and scientific hardware. This role offers the opportunity to work on software that directly controls advanced scientific instruments used by researchers around the world., * Design, develop, and maintain Java desktop applications for mass spectrometry instrument control.
- Implement new features, enhance existing functionality, and resolve software defects.
- Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following modern software engineering practices.
- Collaborate closely with software developers, scientists, and engineers to deliver innovative instrument control solutions.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and technical excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience developing Java desktop applications.
- Experience developing, debugging, or testing software that interfaces with laboratory, industrial, or other physical devices
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Fluent command of English, both written and spoken.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Eclipse RCP and Eclipse-based applications.
- Experience developing scientific, industrial, or instrument control software.
