Software Engineer, Mid

• 2+ years of experience designing, modifying, developing, writing and implementing software programming applications
• 2+ years of experience with Java and Golang, or C or C++
• 2 years of experience in developing and supporting embedded software that directly interfaces with hardware, including platform-specific code optimization
• 2+ years of experience with developing software for Linux
• Experience with embedded software languages and products
• Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products
• Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team
• Knowledge of the broader ecosystem and technical environment of software programming
• Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics

• 2+ years of experience with embedded software languages and products, such as Embedded Platforms, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SELinux, Ansible, Bash scripting, Make, and XML technologies

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,300.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. As an embedded software engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll support the development of systems, sites, and tools for our clients.
