Application Engineer - Solar & Energy Storage Systems

We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support the integration, testing, and technical deployment of our inverter, BESS, and EV charging systems across the U.S. market. This is a hands-on role combining pre-sales support, field service, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D and quality teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate system integration for inverters, energy storage systems (BESS/PCS), EV chargers, and related products in both lab and field environments
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to customers, field technicians, distributors, and installers - including via phone, chat, email, and on-site visits
• Conduct site inspections, hands-on troubleshooting, and system commissioning
• Analyze fault data and availability statistics from deployed units to identify failure trends early and initiate corrective actions
• Collaborate with service, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, and product teams to resolve technical issues efficiently
• Support R&D and quality teams with initial handling and repair analysis of defective returned units based on field data
• Track issues and drive process improvements in partnership with R&D; contribute to product support documentation
• Conduct lab and field testing for product upgrades and retrofits; validate technical documentation against real-world engineering requirements
• Deliver product training to distributors, installers, and key accounts
• Manage system integration projects and conduct competitive product testing and benchmarking
• Other tasks as assigned

Do you have experience in Wiring and circuitry work?, This role requires direct experience with solar inverters, BESS, or PCS systems. Applications without relevant industry background will not be considered., * Bachelor’s degree or above in an engineering discipline (Electrical Engineering preferred)

• 3+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry
• Experience in project or product management
• Hands-on experience with PV and ESS systems in field environments
• Practical skills in electrical wiring, construction, and product assembly
• Willingness to travel, including short-notice trips
• Strong customer-facing communication skills
• Self-driven with solid organizational and time management abilities
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin is a strong plus, * energy storage or renewable energy : 3 years (Required)
