Job description
This role involves working onsite in Seattle, WA, with travel to Singapore and Italy. The position is a contract role with opportunities for C2C arrangements. Responsibilities include planning, installing, and upgrading network infrastructure in a ship dry dock setting. The role requires expertise in generic networking technologies., * Plan and implement network upgrades and replacements onboard ships.
- Coordinate with shipyard teams and vendors during dry dock activities.
- Review and support network cutover planning to minimize disruptions.
- Configure and test network devices to ensure connectivity and performance.
- Document network changes and provide technical support during testing.
Requirements
- Experience in network planning and implementation in a maritime environment.
- Proficiency in installing and configuring networking devices.
- Ability to work in a shipyard/dry dock environment following safety procedures.
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving network issues.
- Strong documentation skills for network changes and configurations.
