Job description

As a Product Data Scientist in the Discovery Group, you will be at the heart of how millions of users interact with Glovo every day. You will leverage product analytics and rigorous experimentation to optimize the core user funnel and shape how customers find and order food, groceries, and retail items.

In this role, you’ll work across high-impact domain areas including Search, Restaurant Listings, Recommendations, and Ads Monetization. You will turn complex user behavior into actionable product discoveries, set a high bar for our experimentation culture, and build data-driven solutions that directly shape the global product roadmap.

THE JOURNEY

Leverage advanced statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to solve for product and business problems that drive the highest impact.

Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to define the product roadmap and strategy, monitor and give visibility of product metrics and KPIs.

Drive product discovery, formulate data-driven hypotheses and convert them into analysis and actionable insights.

Own analytics tasks end to end in the product development cycle: from ideation and opportunity sizing to experimentation and post-launch impact analyses.

Foster strong relationships with stakeholders acting as a strategic and supportive link between the technology, business, and product.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of professional experience outside of an academic and internship setting, in a quantitative analysis role and in product facing teams
  • Demonstrable experience with the application of statistical modeling and advanced analytics to provide product-shaping insights and drive decision-making
  • Deep theoretical and applied knowledge in statistical inferences. Demonstrated experience in designing and analyzing large-scale experiments in digital products (A/B test, multivariate, etc).
  • Mastery in SQL and Python for Data Science.
  • Good spoken and written English

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, PowerBI.
  • Applied knowledge in causal inference, and advanced experimentation techniques.
  • A higher education in a scientific discipline such as Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Econometrics.

Benefits & conditions

  • An enticing equity plan (dependent on level) that lets you own a piece of the action.
  • Top-notch private health insurance to keep you at your peak.
  • Monthly Glovo credit to satisfy your cravings!
  • Discounts on transportation, food, and even kindergarten expenses.
  • Wellhub membership to keep you energised.
  • Flexible time off, the freedom to work from home two days a week, and the opportunity to work from anywhere for up to three weeks a year!
  • Enhanced parental leave, and office-based nursery.
  • Online therapy and wellbeing benefits to ensure your mental well-being.
  • An external learning budget to fuel your thirst for knowledge and personal growth.
