Job description
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to join Capgemini’s Managed Services business, supporting clients through cloud transformation and the ongoing evolution of complex cloud platforms.
Working within Capgemini’s pod-based delivery model, you will act as the Design Authority for your technology domain, providing architectural leadership across live services and strategic initiatives. You’ll work closely with engineers, operational teams, and clients to ensure cloud platforms remain secure, resilient, scalable, and aligned to business objectives.
Onsite working requirement: This role will require you to work onsite 5-days per week, without any opportunity for hybrid or home working., As a senior technical authority for cloud platform, you will contribute to both operational and project-based activities alongside fellow Consultants, Engineers, and Analysts. You will be empowered to:
- Own end-to-end technical delivery of cloud managed services, meeting SLAs and customer outcomes, and acting as authority for change and acceptance into service.
- Provide technical thought-leadership and authority for the service line aligned to your expertise, ensuring architectural integrity, governance, and standards adherence.
- Define, maintain, and govern cloud blueprints, reference architectures, roadmaps, and lifecycle standards.
- Improve platform reliability and performance through SRE principles, automation, and continuous service optimisation.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients across live services, service improvements, transitions, and projects.
- Contribute to bids, proposals, and service shaping, ensuring solutions are viable, scalable, and operable.
- Influence, mentor, and guide engineers and stakeholders without formal line management responsibility.
- Ensure services meet security, compliance, resilience, and contractual requirements.

Requirements
A proven track record of acting as a Cloud Architect within a Managed Services environment.
- Experience operating as a Service Line Design Authority within large Managed Services environments, including bids, transitions, and live services, with strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management, and client relationship skills.
- Strong understanding of Azure cloud services and how business applications are hosted, integrated, and supported within enterprise environments.
- Broad infrastructure knowledge spanning databases (particularly SQL), identity and access management, Single Sign-On (SSO), Windows operating systems, end-user computing technologies, and SaaS platforms.
- Understanding of application deployment and packaging technologies, including Intune and modern endpoint management concepts.
- Strong DevOps and automation expertise including Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native technologies such as Kubernetes and containerised workloads.
- Experience improving reliability, performance and resilience through SRE principles, observability and automation.
- Proven technical leadership with the ability to influence engineers, architects, and stakeholders, alongside experience working within Agile, collaborative, and product-aligned delivery models.
