Java Engineer Small Hedge Fund90k, 30% Bonus, 3 days a week in the office.Quant Capital is urgently looking for a Software Engineer with Java and Python skills to join our high profile client.Our client is a well known Systematic Trading Hedge Fund. They like technology especially the opensource variety as well as scalability and robust performance (much like their track record). They currently run around 2 billion in liquid capital. They are a small 5 man business part of a large global hedge fund.This is an environment of google or a startup where tech is number 1 the firm is known globally for its attitudes and rigour more importantly, you will be surrounded by smart people deeply interested in teaching what they know, and in learning from you.The atmosphere is calm and relaxed with an open dress code. Requirements

about.Developers will work as part of the 5 man team on all aspects of the trading system. This is a small firm so you will gain massive responsibility and autonomy from day 1.As a small team of 5 where everybody codes. I am looking for developers who are happy to self train and pick up new technologies as required. The firm currently have their first tier of strategies live in production and are now looking at building the next generation of fully dynamic strategies leveraging very rich market data and machine learning.New developers must be prepared to perform full cycle agile style development while providing production support and helping with weekend releases as needed. Testing mentality is key, we need to identify issues in development or UAT and keep production safe.You will gain considerable knowledge of the trading and asset management space.The Java Engineer Must have:· 2:1 Computer Science from a Red Brick UK or EU University· 3 years software development experience in a small firm environment· Strong A Levels· Java· Python· Ideally Cloud Architecture or model deployment onto the cloud.· GCP· An Understanding of computing fundamentals, object orientated programming, threading, concurrency and distributed systems· TDD· CICDThis is an outstanding opportunity to join a growing trading business at a time of significant and interesting growth within the sector.
