Job description

DevOps Engineers in this area could focus on building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, and enabling development teams to deliver software reliably and at scale. A central theme could be working across containerised systems, infrastructure-as-code and continuous integration/continuous deployment to support modern application delivery., This is an opportunity to register your interest in future DevOps Engineer positions, roles that could support the design and operation of scalable cloud infrastructure and automated deployment systems., Roles of this type may sit within a collaborative engineering environment where infrastructure, platform and development teams work closely together. The work could involve architecting and managing cloud environments on Azure or AWS, containerising applications with Docker and Kubernetes, building CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring systems operate reliably and securely. You could have scope to improve deployment practices, reduce manual toil and help teams ship faster., * Designing, provisioning and maintaining cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS or GCP

  • Building and optimising CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or similar platforms
  • Containerising applications and orchestrating them with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Implementing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, CloudFormation or equivalent tools
  • Monitoring system performance, logging and alerting to ensure reliability and security
  • Collaborating with development teams to streamline deployment processes and reduce friction
  • Troubleshooting production issues and implementing improvements to stability
  • Documenting infrastructure, runbooks and operational procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience with cloud platforms: Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Strong hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and containerisation
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Bash or similar
  • Solid understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice-to-have

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification or equivalent cloud certifications
  • Experience with microservices architectures and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, ELK stack or CloudWatch
  • Familiarity with API design and integration patterns
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Experience in regulated environments or with compliance frameworks
