Job description

  • Take technical responsibility for the web-based medical software and shape key architectural decisions
  • Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable frontend and backend systems using React, Python, and Django
  • Establish technical standards, best practices, and sustainable development and release processes
  • Design and integrate DiGA-specific interfaces, external healthcare systems, third-party services, and APIs
  • Support the team through technical refinement of requirements, code reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
  • Translate regulatory, data protection, and cybersecurity requirements into technical solutions and support documentation, audits, security assessments, and approval processes

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of professional software development experience, including experience in a senior or technical leadership role
  • Proven experience in medical software, digital health applications, or software as a medical device
  • Strong knowledge of Python, Django, React, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and authentication and authorization concepts
  • Experience with robust software architectures, scalable systems, secure coding, CI/CD, automated testing, version control, and code reviews
  • Knowledge of DiGA, MDR, GDPR, BSI, data protection, cybersecurity, and ideally experience with external healthcare systems
  • Independent and responsible working style, ability to support other developers
  • Excellent English skills; German skills are an advantage
  • Based in Germany and legally authorized to work in Germany. For non-EU citizens, a valid work permit is required
