Business Intelligence Specialist

Concannon Business Consulting (CBC) is looking for an experienced professional to provide hybrid on-site support for a large automotive OEM in the Dallas, TX area with Business Intelligence and Reporting expertise., The Business Intelligence / Reporting Specialist will be part of the department responsible for creating and maintaining connected vehicle products and services. Below are the key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPI scorecards to support portfolio management activities
• Analyze JIRA data to track work intake, delivery progress, cycle times, throughput, backlog health, and team performance
• Partner with portfolio management leaders to define reporting requirements and key metrics
• Translate business needs into meaningful analytics and visualizations
• Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and data integrity across Jira-based and other source systems
• Create recurring and ad hoc reporting to support portfolio reviews, executive updates, and planning sessions
• Identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement across the portfolio
• Support data-driven decision-making by presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting processes, automation, and data quality
• Maintain documentation for metrics, definitions, and reporting logic
• Assist with ad-hoc activities and provide support and/or leadership based on business needs

This is what you should possess to be successful in this role:

• A bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g. Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science)
• Ideally 5-10 years of relevant work experience in business intelligence, reporting, analytics
• Strong experience analyzing operational or project delivery data
• Proficiency with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar
• Experience working with JIRA data, JIRA dashboards, or JIRA reporting is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of portfolio, project, or program management metrics
• Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset
• Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Ability to support on-site on a hybrid basis (Plano, TX)
• Fluency in English; must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future

Preferred candidates will have the following:

• Experience integrating JIRA with other reporting or analytics platforms
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, portfolio management, or project governance processes
• Experience supporting executive-level reporting and portfolio governance
