Senior Data Engineer

Focus:

• Lead the design, architecture, and evolution of the organization’s data platform and engineering roadmap.
• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines capable of processing large video and imaging datasets.
• Design robust database schemas that improve scalability, performance, and long term maintainability.
• Transform computer vision model outputs into reliable, customer ready datasets and business logic.
• Develop production quality integrations with external data providers and annotation platforms.
• Establish data quality standards through statistical validation, monitoring, drift detection, and KPI development.
• Create reproducible evaluation frameworks, dataset versioning strategies, and model performance tracking.
• Collaborate closely with machine learning engineers to improve computer vision outputs and support ongoing model refinement.
• Develop internal tools that improve engineering efficiency and data exploration.

• Senior level experience building and operating production data engineering platforms.
• Advanced proficiency with Python and SQL.
• Deep experience designing scalable data models, ETL pipelines, orchestration workflows, and resilient production infrastructure.
• Experience working with large scale video, image, or other high volume media datasets.
• Strong understanding of API integrations and distributed data systems.
• Background applying statistics to data validation, quality measurement, and performance analysis.
• Experience supporting machine learning or computer vision workflows.
• Knowledge of dataset versioning, lineage, and reproducibility best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex data quality and model output challenges.
• Comfortable operating independently within a fast moving startup environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for American football and enthusiasm to develop deep domain expertise is required.
