Job description
We’re hiring an AI Engineer II to help build and operate intelligent agent systems on our AWS-native GenAI platform. You’ll implement AI-enabled features and agent workflows, own small services end-to-end within the team, and deepen your skills in the agent tooling (MCP, LangChain/LangGraph) and platform practices that power them. You’ll work independently on well-scoped problems and partner with senior engineers on complex design., Implement AI-enabled features and simple RAG/agent workflows, with senior guidance on complex design
- Design, build, test, and deploy small services within the team, and maintain their CI/CD pipelines
- Participate in on-call for the components you own; diagnose and fix issues
- Contribute to design reviews and propose team process improvements
- Mentor AI Engineer I teammates
- Collaborate with product, data, and platform teams to deliver scoped solutions
Requirements
3-5 years of software engineering experience, including some hands-on work with LLM or AI-enabled features
- Working Python (async patterns), FastAPI, Pydantic v2, and pytest
- Comfortable building and deploying services on AWS (Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, and related services)
- Production experience consuming LLMs (Claude via Amazon Bedrock or the Anthropic API) and building basic RAG/agent features
- Working experience with a production data layer (Redis, DynamoDB, Postgres/Aurora) via async SQLAlchemy
- Identity and app-security fundamentals (JWT/OAuth, secrets management)
- Containerized delivery (Docker/ECS) through CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
- Comfort in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment with evolving requirements
Nice to have:
- Data warehouse engineering (Snowflake)
- NoSQL / document databases (MongoDB)
- Frontend / web UI development (React 19, TypeScript) - used in the platform but not expected for this role
