Job description

We are looking for an experienced Data Center Network Engineer to join our team in Rockdale, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mission-critical data center network infrastructure. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus, Arista, and enterprise-level routing and switching technologies., * Design, deploy, and maintain highly available data center network infrastructure.

Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco Nexus and Arista switching platforms.
Support Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking in enterprise environments.
Configure and maintain routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Implement and support VLANs, STP, VPC, and VXLAN technologies.
Monitor network performance and resolve complex connectivity and performance issues.
Perform root cause analysis for network incidents and implement preventive solutions.
Ensure reliable connectivity across servers, storage, and network devices.
Collaborate with infrastructure, systems, and operations teams on network projects.
Maintain accurate documentation for network configurations, changes, and procedures.
Participate in network upgrades, maintenance windows, and production support activities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Center Networking.
Strong experience with Cisco Nexus switching platforms.
Hands-on experience with Arista networking solutions.
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies.
Experience configuring and troubleshooting BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Working knowledge of VLANs, STP, VPC, and VXLAN.
Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work onsite in Rockdale, TX, five days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification.
Experience in enterprise or hyperscale data center environments.
Experience with network automation or scripting using Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
