Electrical Engineer (Data Centers)

Experteer Overview As an Electrical Engineer in Jacobs’ Advanced Manufacturing group, you design power distribution and critical electrical systems for data centers and mission-critical facilities. You collaborate with a multi-discipline team to produce construction documents and support on-site construction, while helping ensure quality, schedule, and budget. The role is location-flexible within the U.S. and offers mentorship and career growth. You will contribute to impactful, real-world infrastructure projects that enable reliable operations. Compensation / Benefits * Design power distribution, UPS, emergency systems, grounding, lighting, and low voltage communications for data center facilities * Design retrofit of existing building systems to meet evolving requirements * Manage quality, scope, budget, and schedule of design work * Perform design package quality reviews and contribute to overall design process * Interact with clients, owners, and contractors to support construction on site * Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to establish design requirements and deliver construction documents * Produce construction documents and support design through project lifecycle Tasks * Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline * 3+ years’ experience in engineering design of medium and low voltage distribution systems and campus-style power distribution * Extensive knowledge of industrial facility design * Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software * Solid knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) is preferred * Effective verbal and written communication skills * Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred) * Data center facility design experience (preferred) Key requirements * medical, dental, vision * basic life insurance * 401(k) plan * stock purchase at a discount * deferred compensation plan * Executive Deferral Plan (for eligible roles)
