Sr. Python Java Developer

The candidate must be equally proficient in Python and Java development.

Will develop back-end services using SQL-based Postgres and PL/SQL, primarily with Python. Microservices relate to Java Spring Boot, and while there are other Spring Boot components, the Python work involves only backend services with the database.

Heavy front-end skills are not required. Good to have.

This role is part of Finance IC&M group where they will be working our technology team. The candidate will work with other developers and the Tech Lead to understand the functionality of an existing POC that we are trying to migrate to an IT application primarily developed in Python and Postgres.

Understanding what current state system’s functionality and ensure we can build this on our IT support platform.

We primarily need Python for development and Spring Boot mostly for the support work.

We have a portfolio of applications and this role isn’t solely dedicated to this project.

Development will primarily be in Python, support work will use Java Spring Boot.

One 60-minute onsite interview round.

Heavy back-end work (70%), less front-end (30%).

Experience with Django and FastAPI are good to have.

Secondary mortgage experience is nice to have. Not a must.

Containerization: Kubernetes is good to have. We won’t rely heavily on this candidate for Kubernetes. This will just be a nice-to-have skill.
