At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, every role helps children, young people and families access specialist care when and where they need it. As IT, Data & AI Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our digital journey. Working in partnership with teams across the organisation, you will lead the development of future-ready technology, data and AI capabilities that strengthen how we use data, support responsible innovation and help us continue making a meaningful difference to children and families., You’ll lead the effective, secure and reliable delivery of IT, data and AI services across Bluebell Wood. This includes day-to-day IT support, infrastructure, cyber security, key systems, data quality, reporting, compliance and digital improvement projects. The IT, Data & AI Manager helps ensure that systems and data are used well to support decision-making, service delivery and good governance.
This is a hands-on leadership role with real purpose. You’ll manage a small IT team, support IT volunteers and work closely with external providers, building strong relationships across the hospice so colleagues have the systems, equipment, support and guidance they need to work safely and effectively.

- Lead responsive, user-focused IT support that helps staff and volunteers work safely and confidently.
- Manage and develop IT infrastructure, systems, networks, devices, cloud services and security arrangements.
- Line manage the IT team, support IT volunteers and work effectively with external suppliers.
- Deliver & manage projects relating to technology, data and AI that improve services, strengthen resilience and support innovation in an effective way..
- Oversee key systems, databases, reporting processes, data quality and appropriate access controls.
- Champion cyber security, business continuity, UK GDPR, data protection and good information governance.
- Use insight, collaboration and practical problem-solving to help teams make better use of technology and data.
- Manage IT resources and budgets responsibly, balancing quality, value for money and service needs.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with the technical confidence, people skills and practical judgement to lead reliable IT, data and digital services. You’ll bring strong IT management experience, a collaborative approach and the ability to turn ideas into secure, effective solutions., * IT management experience across infrastructure, systems, networks, hardware, software and cloud services.
- Experience managing IT security, cyber security and data protection compliance, including UK GDPR.
- Experience delivering IT, data or digital projects, improvements or system implementations, ideally with a project management qualification.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on reliable, high-quality services.
- Clear communication skills, including explaining technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Commitment to Bluebell Wood’s values and inclusive, collaborative ways of working.
