Job description
We’re looking for a Systems Engineer to play a key role in the design, development, integration, and testing of complex engineering systems for a diverse range of clients. Working across the project lifecycle, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that meet client requirements and deliver successful project outcomes.
You’ll combine your technical expertise with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, ensuring systems are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget. Working closely with engineers, project teams, and other stakeholders, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to challenging projects while continuing to develop your technical knowledge and experience.

- Develop system architectures, designs, and detailed specifications to meet client requirements.
- Integrate various subsystems and components to form a cohesive system, ensuring compatibility and performance.
- Execute system testing and validation activities to verify that systems meet design specifications and performance criteria.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including requirements, design specifications, test plans and operator manuals.
- Analyse and translate client requirements into functional and non-functional specifications.
- Participate in technical discussions with the project teams and identify and resolve technical issues.
- Support commissioning at client sites.
- Support and specify procurement activities as required.
- Be actively involved in the manufacture, assembly and testing of bespoke systems.
- Suggest changes and improvements if opportunities arise.
- Engage in continuous learning to develop technical skills and knowledge relevant to system integration.
- Communicate with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with the delivered system.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, workshop and project management, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, procedures and protocols.
- Supports the delivery of the project scope to company quality management system, process and procedures.
- Have base knowledge of client specific standards and international standards.
- Engage in quality and technical reviews.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with a relevant qualification or 4 years’ experience in systems engineering or equivalent role.
- Good understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies.
- Good knowledge of Software Packages relevant to the role of a Systems Engineer i.e. SCADA packages, PLC packages and HMI packages.
- Familiarity and experience with system integration processes, tools and technologies.
- A basic understanding of industry and company quality management systems, process and procedure.
Skills and Abilities
- Good verbal, written and presentation skills for effective collaboration and client interaction.
