Job description
This role offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to innovative research initiatives focused on developing and productizing sophisticated capabilities for extracting and analyzing data from Android and iOS devices.
Modern mobile platforms present increasingly complex security challenges, incorporating robust protection mechanisms such as File-Based Encryption (FBE), Secure Elements, hardware-backed security, sandboxing, and mitigations such as Pointer Authentication Codes (PAC).
You will work alongside a highly skilled team of security researchers and developers to solve complex mobile security challenges and develop capabilities at the forefront of vulnerability research and exploitation.
This position combines hands-on technical research with team leadership, providing an opportunity to guide advanced security capabilities from initial research and discovery through fully operational solutions., * Lead Vulnerability Research Projects: Oversee and actively participate in research focused on discovering, analyzing, and exploiting vulnerabilities across Android and iOS platforms.
- Mentor and Guide Researchers: Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to security researchers working through complex vulnerability research and exploitation challenges.
- Develop Complete Exploitation Solutions: Take research beyond proof-of-concept demonstrations by developing reliable, repeatable, and fully implementable capabilities.
- Drive Research Strategy: Establish technical priorities, define research objectives, and help determine development approaches for advanced mobile security projects.
- Recruit and Develop Talent: Identify, recruit, mentor, and develop security researchers to expand and strengthen the team’s technical capabilities.
- Collaborate Across Engineering Teams: Work closely with researchers, developers, and other technical stakeholders to transition research into production-ready solutions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in vulnerability research, security research, exploitation, or a closely related technical discipline.
- 3+ years of experience leading security research projects and/or managing technical research teams.
- Strong understanding of vulnerability discovery, exploitation techniques, reverse engineering, and modern security mitigations.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technical leadership skills.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience conducting vulnerability research and exploitation against Android and/or iOS platforms.
- Experience with mobile operating system internals and platform security architecture.
- Experience developing reliable exploits beyond proof-of-concept implementations.
- Familiarity with modern mobile security mechanisms, including secure boot, hardware-backed security, encryption, sandboxing, and exploit mitigations.
- Experience transitioning vulnerability research into production-ready capabilities., * How many years of professional experience do you have in vulnerability research, security research, exploitation, or a closely related technical discipline?
