Externally Funded MRes Oppurtunity - EHU & Stockport County FC

Experteer Overview In this yearlong MRes, you will support academy players’ sports science needs and analyze GPS-based load data to understand age-specific demands. You’ll work with sports science and medical staff during training and matches, contributing to profiling practices and feeding back insights to players and staff. Supervision comes from Edge Hill academics, linking applied work with your research project and career development. Pay / Benefits * Collate and analyze GPS data from match-play and training * Implement and evaluate a standardized profiling battery for match-day and recovery profiling * Provide high-quality feedback to players and staff * Support the development of profiling practices within the club * Contribute to the sports science support of Academy players across all age groups Tasks * Degree equivalent to UK 2:1 or above in a sports science related programme (e.g., Sports Science, Sports Therapy/Rehabilitation, Sports Coaching) including Strength & Conditioning modules * Strong motivation for sport and exercise science * Experience with the technical and physical aspects of Academy football * Experience using GPS technology * Familiarity with research methods and quantitative statistics * Clean, full UK driver’s license * UK-based eligible for home fees Key requirements * Student fees for full-time MRes * Travel expenses * Meals provided at training ground
