Job description

Brooklyn Bridge Park (BBP) is looking to hire a full-time IT Coordinator to join our recently created IT Department. The coordinator will play a key role in building this new function in a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. We are looking for candidates who enjoy the process of building something new and improving existing systems. The IT Coordinator will work on a wide variety of projects including lighting, security, asset management software, network and computer infrastructure and systems, IT training and development, and phone systems, as well as supporting the Deputy Director of IT with additional projects in collaboration with other departments., * Administer project implementation, data collection, and reporting in Cartegraph, the Park’s Asset Management Software.

  • Perform maintenance of internal department automation systems, applications, forms, and other data collection systems.
  • Work to clean up parkwide file drives and archives for ease of use, clarity, and security.
  • Continue implementation of task managers and communication systems in Microsoft.
  • Collaborate with various departments on internal and external maps and other graphics.
  • Work with Deputy Director of IT to develop training materials for all internal IT systems.
  • Build and maintain inventory of the Park’s IT equipment and software licenses.
  • Perform basic IT troubleshooting for staff and assist Managed Service Provider to resolve tickets.
  • Operate the Park’s phone system using Verizon, Jamf, and ABM, and work with staff on troubleshooting and deploying cellphones.
  • Assist in management of parkwide RFID and key systems.
  • Support Deputy Director of IT on long-term IT projects including public wifi, A/V equipment upgrades, and remote network locations.
  • Liaise with outside contractors and technical support specialists as needed.
  • Identify special projects to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Experience with database management or Asset Management systems; OpenGov EAM (Cartegraph) is a plus.
  • High level proficiency in Microsoft 365 including some experience with Automations, Loop, and Teams. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; teaching experience is helpful.
  • Ability to succinctly translate complex technological concepts in a clear, simple, and digestible manner.
  • Comfortable working outdoors; ability to climb a ladder and lift 40 pounds.
  • Valid state driver’s license is required. Must be comfortable driving small vehicles in tight areas around construction, cyclists and pedestrians.
