IT Manager - Data & Analytics

The IT Manager - Data & Analytics is responsible for ensuring ongoing, high-quality support to the business, delivering reliable, timely, and accurate data, by leveraging all the different operational reporting solutions that enable critical decision-making.

In addition to operational excellence, the role leads the strategy, governance, and delivery of enterprise data and analytics solutions, with a strong focus on SAP finance ecosystems. Acting as a key bridge between Business, IT, and external partners, this role ensures scalable, standardized, and performant data platforms that balance day-to-day business needs with long-term transformation objectives., BAU - Operations & Day-to-Day Support

• Provide ongoing support to business users (AC, PMC, ANZ, SP, Finance) on data and reporting solutions (SAP BW, SAP S4, Datasphere/SAC, Power BI…)
• Ensure data availability and reliability for critical cycles (close, reporting, planning).
• Meet data delivery SLAs, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of data flows.
• Monitor and continuously improve platform performance (load times, queries, integrations).
• Identify and resolve operational incidents in collaboration with technical and functional teams.
• Manage and prioritize escalations to minimize business impact.
• Drive continuous improvement of processes, data quality, and user experience., * Provide strategic guidance on maintaining a global view of financial data and how it is represented across reporting solutions.
• Enable support teams through clear documentation, training, and functional overviews of CFIN capabilities.
• Partner with Finance Innovation teams to evaluate and implement enhancements, defining scalable solution approaches.
• Establish and enforce best practices within the reporting landscape
• Build the foundation for future finance data products leveraging Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or Power BI
• Collaborate closely with Finance stakeholders to promote adoption of standard DACOE tools over custom-built solutions, reducing system complexity.
• Define and execute a roadmap to transition Record-to-Report (RTR) reporting into centralized CFIN reporting.
• Lead triage and resolution of data issues, distinguishing between source data and reporting defects, and ensuring root-cause remediation.
• Educate stakeholders on available reporting types and appropriate usage scenarios.

Finance / Anaplan Project(1 external to be hired to backfill this project once Ryan leaves)

• Support integration initiatives in a dynamic, project-driven environment.
• Manage growing integration scope, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Oversee end-to-end data movement, scheduling and system feasibility.
• Act as escalation point for issues, coordinating with vendors and platform teams.
• Enforce IT standards and governance across deliverables.
• Drive user adoption of long-term solutions over short-term workarounds.
• Ensure clear communication and alignment with Finance stakeholders.
• Coordinate across multiple IT systems and environments for successful project delivery.

Platform Administration / Roadmap

• Help driving standardization of new implementations and architectural approaches.
• Oversee proof-of-concepts (POCs) for new technologies and capabilities.
• Evaluate and recommend future ERP analytics roadmap opportunities (e.g., using the Data Lake)
• Stay current with SAP innovations and assess applicability within the enterprise environment.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, including:
• Data integration performance and consumption
• Cost and usage trends
• Expensive query monitoring
• Define and implement platform and data modeling best practices across teams.
• Plan future roadmap and decommissioning strategy for legacy tools

Vendor & Partner Management

• Collaborate with SAP and partners on new capabilities and issue resolution.
• Guide the SAP ecosystem roadmap and strategic direction.
• Support contract renewal discussions

Audit & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to audit standards and governance protocols.
• Manage audit deliverables and timelines.
• Provide informed responses and challenge redundant or previously addressed audit requests.

Challenges & Scope

• Operate in a complex, multi-platform environment with limited resources, requiring continuous prioritization and resource balancing.
• Balance strategic transformation initiatives with operational support and issue resolution.
